Free Online Training

The Mesa Family Advocacy Center has partnered with Darkness to Light, a non-profit company, to provide FREE self-paced training modules. Darkness to Light is committed to empowering and educating adults to recognize and prevent child sexual abuse.

Darkness to Light Education Courses

The following courses are available from Darkness to Light. We have included the time needed to complete each course:

The trainings contain a mix of survivor stories, expert advice, and practical guidance for prevention of child sexual abuse. Child sexual abuse is a tough topic. Some of the survivor stories may affect you in a personal way. These stories reflect the personal experiences of actual survivors. These are the experiences children face when they are sexually abused, thus Darkness to Light choose to include them.

To register for a training course, complete the registration form.

Once you are registered, click here to log in to the courses.

Please contact us if you need any assistance getting to the site or finding the classes.

There is a National Resource Sheet available in the resource section of the course with names and numbers of agencies that can help. Someone is available for you to talk to about any needs you have through the Darkness to Light helpline at 1-866-FOR-LIGHT (1-866-367-5444). Thank you for your commitment to child sexual abuse prevention.

These are just a few of the offerings from Darkness to Light. Once you are registered and, on the site, there are many more offerings for different topics on abuse. Please contact us if you need any assistance getting to the site or finding the classes.
